A hot day

Well today we went to the beach. It was a hot nice day and a great one for our first time going since we moved here. The kids have been waiting for this since we got here back in Feb and it is was only 30 degrees outside. So needless to say they were excited. So we get out to the beach about 12 today and i thought the kids would be a little nervous around the water because they have not been to the beach in 2 summers now. But they were far from scared. James and Bethannie were running around having such a good time. They are so funny to watch trying to go into water that is only about 65-68 degrees. I told them it was too cold for me. But good ole James he braved the cold and went in with the older two. Mackenzie was very content playing in the sand. She loves the sand box so why wouldn't she love having all the sand she can get her hands on. So she was loving it, well until the water would get to close. I did hold her hand to get her to go out in the water a little bit. She was not having much of it though. She decided I think that it is to cold and more fun to just dig. So she did just that. James and I were a little forgetful and forgot to keep putting sunscreen on the kids so we now all look like a family of tomatoes. No one is complaining yet so we will see how they are tomorrow. But what a great joy to be back at the beach....

Shumaker Family does look a little on the crispy critter side. The little ones look as if they were a having ball. You both, as parents, are doing such NEAT outings with your children, and I want you to know that is so terrific.

We love you and take care of the burns that YOU all got from this outing.

Hugs and Kisses to you all;

Love;

Mom

I can't wait to go to the beach here. But at the same time, really scared to. They sun tan nude here and walk around nude, so don't really want to be in that situaton. We'll see if we can find a hidden beach.

I am so jealous. The one thing I loved about the CG is that you can stay on the coasts by the water. Well, the water here is always ICE cold and the sand isn't very soft. I really miss those warm summer days cooling off in the salty warm ocean.
