Getting ready

So we are suppose to leave tomorrow to drive to KY for my neice's baptism. I was supper excited about the whole trip. Then people started flaking on me and cancelling parts of the trip I had been banking on. Family as much as I love them can sure drive me crazy. So after many new plans I am still going to be driving to KY with 3 kids in tow. 12 HOURS ONE WAY. Sounds like a lot of fun right? Well it will be. My kids are so excited to see their cousins that they have not seen in a good while. My little nephew is getting blessed as well and I have never met him before. So it will be a lot of fun. So as I am sitting here trying to think of what all I need to quickly pack I am stressing over the drive already. We are taking the car with no TV and so I am dreading hearing the kids say I am bored, and when are we going to be there. Well this is just a preview to them of what our summer is going to be like. we will always be in the car and on our way to some where new. So as you all are relaxing with your wonderful well behaved children who would never not mind think of me pulling my hair out because it is the 10th potty break we have made in 3 hours. See you all when I get back or maybe if you are a lucky one you will see me on the trip.

The drive sounds like a blast. ;) Have fun and be safe! Oh, and good luck not pulling out your hair.

I remember my family would take long road trips just about every summer and that was without tv's in the car. It was hard at times, but those are my favorite memories from when I was a kid. Just try not to stress too much, and expect the worst, then you can't be disappointed when it happens, but if it doesn't then it will make the trip so much better! Get lots of coloring activity books and stock up on some fun music and you are set to go! Have fun!!!

I have two portable dvd players you can borrow if you want. It just plugs into a cigarette lighter in your car. Would that help? I'll give you a call.

wow! i suppose if you can do it, i can do it! i am dreading the drive from here to ohio. Just b/c Sophia will whine and cry about 2 hours into the trip. I KNOW this is going to happen. someone told me to buy a portable dvd player. but i dont really have any place to put it, so that she doesn't mess with it.

We know how that feels to when you have things planned then things seem to start falling apart, but you just have to go on with what you have and enjoy the trip with who ever shows up. We are looking forward to seeing you and the kids so we're glad you can come. Love ya and be careful.

Love,
Margaret
