A messy Dinner

All the kids with their spaghetti faces.

She is making a big smile here. Isn't that the funniest smile. She does this all the time now when you say smile pretty.

Mackenzie making a really big mess.

My sister and her husband came down and they spent the day with us. It was a lot of fun. It was great because I got to go to the store by myself because they stayed at the house with the kids. James had duty so he was not at home at all. So when I got home she had dinner ready too. How nice. Well we had spaghetti and Mackenzie was loving it. But she made the biggest mess ever.

A fun night

Tonight we decided to make homemade pizza and try and teach the kids how to play Monopoly.
It was a lot of fun. The kids thought it was cool to make the pizza and then get to eat it for dinner. It actually turned out really good. I made James and I a Chicago deep dish pizza that turned out very yummy as well. So it was a fun night.

Mackenzie taking her turn.

James and Bethannie playing with the pepperoni instead.

Everyone enjoying their dinner. What a mouth full of food most of them have.
I am glad they had a lot of fun.

I was tagged

What was I doing 10 years ago?

I was getting ready for my wedding. To be exact I was probably on my way to Utah from Ohio from going to my brothers graduation. We also picked up James and he was going back to Utah with us to start finding a job and to get enrolled in college. I was finished with my freshman year of college and was sad to see my room mates go home and not be near by any more. I was getting ready to tell my little sister by for the year because she was on her way to Sweden for a year as a foreign exchange student. Other then that I really do not know.

What are five (non-work) things on my to-do list today?

Well I really finished up doing everything yesterday, so I do not really know. I do have a sink of dished to do. A load of laundry. Cook dinner for some friends we have coming over today. Be a good hostess I guess. And put my kids to bed tonight. Does all that count. It is things to do today.

5 snacks I enjoy.

Carrot sticks with hummus. Chocolate. Hot Tomales. Ice Cream. Amish Friendship bread. I just received a starter 10 days ago and so I baked it up yesterday and it was the best stuff ever. To bad no one lives close enough to me that I can give you one of my 4 new starters. So sad.

Things I would do if I were a billionaire.

I would but me a new house. A new car. A new car for every one in my family. Invest what I would need for the rest of my life and then go to a charity and donate the rest.

Places I have lived.
Dayton OH, Midway KY, Frankfort KY, Price UT, Indianapolis IN, Jacksonville NC, Jacksonville FL, Back to Dayton OH, Norfolk VA.

Jobs I have had.
Where to begin. I was newspaper deliverer when I was little. McDonald's, Kmart, Tumbleweed, A daycare, A cafe line cook, Food Lion, and a mom. What do or did I enjoy the most? Being a mom!

I tag .......Charlotte, Chrissy, Lindi, Shayla, Kristy!
Have fun

Bad ideas

So Bethannies school was doing a field day. It was on Friday and lately we have been have some EXTREMELY hot weather. So on Friday it was suppose to be a high of 99 and the kids were going to be outside for the whole time. Well needless to say I went up with her bought the class a case of water because the kids were going to get a ticket for one drink with their lunch. I took James and Mackenzie with me and we all went to school. During the first part of the time it did not seem to bad but then all of the sudden you could just feel the sun baking you. Each class got to go in for 30 minutes during their lunch time and then they were to be back outside. We did as much as we could and ended up leaving the school about 2 hours early. It was so hot we just could not take any more. Well needless to say when we got home all the kids ended up laying down and watched TV for a while and then they got up and played later when we had a friend stop by. So the kids went outside and played in the pool and had some fun. They were all ready for bed early that night which was good because so was I. Well not for long is all I can say. Bethannie came and got in my bed at some point in the middle of the night and then I remember waking up to what I thought was water spilling on the floor. It was Bethannie throwing up all over the Bathroom floor. Needless to say I was up for another hour after I got her cleaned up and back in bed cleaning the bathroom. YUCK. Any how she seemed fine after that. But the next morning she still said she was not feeling the best. Well we asked her what she wanted to do and she said she wanted to go to the pool and go swimming. So we head out to the pool with a cooler full of drinks because again it was suppose to be 100 degrees that day. Well we lasted about 1 hour and most of that Bethannie was just looking blah. Well just before we leave Bethannie goes running for a toilet and while we were in the girls bathroom. Little James goes running for a bathroom and he threw up. Needless to say we went straight home and made every one lay down. James said he thinks it was from all the heat from both days and everything. They were fine after that. We just have not been back outside since then. It was a bad day. But here are a few pics from Bethannies Field day.

Mt Trashmore

What a weird name right? Well that is a park here in Norfolk that the kids and I went to check out today. We had heard there was a great hill to fly kites off of and so we went and bought each one a new kite and headed out. There were two nice playgrounds there as well. So we played first. They loved this one playground. It was out of wood and looked like a fort. It was neat. I just had a hard time seeing them through the wood and was glad I had put bright clothes on them so I could semi spot them. ANy how. After playing for a while we decided we would try to fly a kite. So we marched up to the top of this hill. It was fun. Both of the kids were able to get their kite up right away. Thanks to how windy it was up there though. Any how they did a really good job for their first time. They tried to see how high it could go up. At the end of our time there we decided it would be fun to roll down the hill. James did it with no problem. Mackenzie did not really understand to keep her arms out of the way. But she did a lot od scooting down. They had a lot of fun though.

The kids rolling down a hill.

James decided to scoot down the hill on his butt.

James flying his kite. He was so excited to see how high it could go.

Mackenzie and her kite. I kept telling her to make sure she holds on tight to the string. She did great.

Look at that cute girl.

Happy birthday to me

Well yesterday was my birthday and so now I am officially less then one year away from being out of my 20's. I do not think it really bothers me but we will see next year as I get closer to it. I never really feel older on your birthday as every one asks. But it was a fun day. James had duty on Saturday and so I had to go buy the food I wanted made for dinner and then Bethannie had been saying she wanted to make a cake. Well I did not have the nerve to let a 6 year old in the kitchen by herself to make a cake. So James had to help her yesterday after church. They made me a cake and so I have a piture of it. Not bad for a 6, 4, and 2 year old decorating it. But James got me a Vera Bradley bag I had been wanting and I thought that was the end of my present but he was sneaky and put a new workout outfit inside the bag. He kept giving me this big funny smile till I noticed there was something in the bag. Any how it was fun. I had Salmon for dinner and it was delicious. Any how well I just wanted to share my day.
